The Empowered Educator Hub is my monthly membership for teachers wanting practical, ongoing support with EdTech. As of August 2026, it costs $49 AUD a month and includes a live monthly masterclass, a premium Canva template, editable access to 80-plus everyday templates, a monthly AI prompt pack, ad-free access to the Innovative EdTech Workshops, and a growing library of 79-plus resources across eight sections.

Professional learning is vital, but staying on top of it in your own time can feel genuinely overwhelming. That's exactly why I built the Empowered Educator Hub, a dedicated space to help you become more confident and comfortable using technology in the classroom, without having to chase down every resource yourself.

Most professional learning platforms give you either generic content or a huge library with no clear starting point. I wanted something different: a monthly rhythm of practical resources, built specifically around what teachers actually need, rather than a static course you finish once and never open again.

Where did the Hub come from?

In 2025, with the help of my colleague Sarah Cordner, I launched the first version of this membership under the name Tech-Ready Teacher Academy, back when the business was still Evolve EdTech.

Since the move to Tristan Heron, that membership has had a proper refresh and is now known as the Empowered Educator Hub. Same purpose, better version.

The core idea hasn't changed since 2025: give teachers ongoing, practical support with EdTech instead of a one-off course they finish and forget. What's changed is everything around that core, the content, the structure, and how much value sits inside each month's membership.

What do you get with a Hub membership?

Here's exactly what's included each month, and what each piece is worth if you bought it separately.

A monthly masterclass. At least 60 minutes long, delivered every month. These normally sell individually for $49 AUD, so this one inclusion alone is close to covering your entire membership cost.

It's designed to be practical rather than theoretical, the kind of professional learning session you could sit through in an evening and walk away with something you can actually use the next day.

A premium Canva template. Fully customisable, and normally $5 AUD if purchased on its own from the Digital Templates page.

Editable access to 80-plus everyday templates. These normally sell for $2 AUD each individually, which puts this single inclusion at around $160 AUD worth of value.

A monthly AI prompt pack. Twenty-seven AI prompts built for a specific teaching role, primary, casual, pre-service, and others. These are normally valued at $5 AUD each.

Each pack is designed around the day-to-day reality of that particular role, so you're not stuck adapting generic prompts written for teaching in general.

Ad-free access to the Innovative EdTech Workshops. These are the workshops I live-stream on YouTube and Facebook. Inside the Hub, you get to watch them without the ads that come with free platform viewing.

A growing resource library. As of writing, there are around 79 to 80-plus courses and resources already inside the Hub, organised across eight sections. You don't need to work through every section, just the parts genuinely relevant to you.

A community space. Somewhere to ask questions and connect with other members working through the same challenges.

None of these inclusions are static extras bolted onto a course. New masterclasses, templates, and prompt packs get added every month, and the resource library keeps growing alongside them. What you get access to today is a snapshot, not the final version.

What does it actually cost?

$49 AUD a month, as of August 2026. I'm flagging that date deliberately, because pricing can change over time, and I'd rather be upfront about when this figure was accurate than let it go stale.

If you're reading this well after August 2026, do check the current sales page before assuming the price is still exactly this. I'd rather you see an accurate figure than an outdated one I never bothered to correct.

Add up the individual value of the masterclass, the premium template, the 80-plus everyday templates, and the monthly AI prompt pack, and you're looking at more than $200 AUD in value for a $49 AUD membership. That's before factoring in ad-free workshop access, the resource library, or the community.

I'd rather show my working than just claim the Hub is good value and leave it at that. Every figure above is what that item sells for individually on the Tristan Heron website, so you can check the maths yourself rather than taking my word for it.

Do I need to use every part of the Hub?

No. The Hub is divided into eight different sections, and you're not expected to work through all of them at once, or at all.

Some members lean heavily on the templates. Others are mainly there for the monthly masterclass or the AI prompt packs. Use what's genuinely useful for your context, and leave the rest for later, or never, depending on what you actually need.

That's a deliberate design choice, not an oversight. I didn't want to build something that only makes sense if you use every single feature. A membership should still be worth it even if you only ever touch two or three parts of it regularly.

Is the Hub worth it for a casual or part-time teacher?

That depends on how you'd otherwise be sourcing templates, professional learning, and AI resources.

If you'd usually pay for even one premium template and one masterclass across a couple of months, you're already close to the membership cost. Add in the everyday templates and AI prompt packs on top of that, and for most teachers actively using EdTech resources, the maths tends to work out in the membership's favour.

Where it makes less sense is if you're only ever going to use one small part of it occasionally. In that case, it might genuinely be cheaper to purchase individual templates or a single masterclass as you need them, rather than committing to a monthly membership. I'd rather you make that call with the real numbers in front of you than feel talked into something that doesn't fit how you actually work.
